About Me

Hi, I’m Dayton Zabriskie, a marketing professional and graduate of the University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business, where I earned my B.S. in Marketing in May 2025. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to creativity, storytelling, and thinking outside the box, making marketing a natural path for me. Through hands-on internships and my current role at AmeriLife, I’ve built experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, content development, and audience engagement, allowing me to blend both strategic thinking and creative execution. I thrive in fast-paced, forward-thinking environments and am passionate about building meaningful brands, creating impactful content, and driving growth through innovative marketing initiatives.

I earned my B.S. in Marketing from the University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business, an AACSB-accredited institution known for its strong academic reputation and innovative curriculum. During my time at Utampa, I completed courses such as Digital MarketingMarketing Strategy & ResearchGlobal Marketing, and Promotion & Branding. The small class sizes provided valuable one-on-one interactions with professors, allowing me to deepen my understanding of core marketing principles and apply them in real-world scenarios.

I bring a diverse background spanning both retail and marketing. I began my career in customer service and retail, working with well-known brands such as ShopRite, Publix, and Abercrombie & Fitch over the course of six years, where I developed strong skills in communication, adaptability, and teamwork. I later transitioned into marketing through internships with Greenbox Storage and Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, gaining hands-on experience in branding, social media strategy, and campaign execution. Today, I continue to grow my career at AmeriLife, where I focus on social media strategy, digital content, and building impactful marketing initiatives that strengthen brand presence and audience engagement.

In addition to my formal education, I’ve earned industry-recognized certifications and developed hands-on experience across a variety of marketing platforms to strengthen my digital skill set. Through HubSpot, I completed certifications in Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Media, and Email Marketing, while also expanding my knowledge through Google certifications, including Google Analytics and Google Ads. Alongside these credentials, I regularly work with tools such as Sprout Social and SEMrush to support content strategy, performance tracking, and audience insights, allowing me to execute data-driven marketing initiatives with a strategic and analytical approach.
